I need a few people to help me test a possible "new" service (called Discord). _If_ it works like I believe it might, it could be an upgrade/replacement for us for Slack. Here's why I'm looking at it: - It will work and function in many ways a whole lot like Slack: -- there are different channels, public and private channels, direct message, etc -- there is an app -- it can be accessed from a webpage - Advantages over Slack: -- no 10K message limit; the old conversations don't disappear -- no community file storage limit; users can upload their pictures without filling up server quotas, as well as all sorts of file types, and the only real limit is 8MB per file, which is very large for everything but video -- the audio chat is very robust -- it offers video chat for up to 8 users together -- I can embed it in web pages. This may lead to being able to display the chat to registered users on a page on Headspace. This will likely lead to embedding this on TRN live stream posts as a robust "side chat" solution. If you're willing to try new things, and you're willing to deal with a couple minor frustrations and give some helpful feedback, I'd love for a few folks to help me test this out over the next couple of weeks. If you're interested, here's the link: https://discord.gg/Nafuzht I've set up a channel on Slack specifically for discussing this testing called #discord-testing I also set up a closed group here on Headspace for the same reason called "Discord Testing" - https://headspace.thereloadersnetwork.com/groups/?discord-testing/
